Holding the ‘Network’ key at startup can be done at anytime to start the
Access Point if you need to re-configure the network used by the H9000R.
You can also toggle the Access Point on and off from within Emote, so if
you already have a network set up, you can switch networks without needing
to reboot.
Booting the H9000R in Recovery Mode
To access the “Recovery Mode” in H9000R, power on the hardware while
inserting a paperclip into the small pinhole that is located to the right of the front
panel Network button.
•
When the Network LED stops blinking, your device should be visible in the
Emote software, displayed as the unit’s serial number, followed by the word
“recovery”
•
You can connect to the hardware as usual, however the options presented in
Emote, once connected, will be different than usual. You can access:
o
The list of network software updates
o
The USB updater (if a valid USB device was connected at boot)
o
Functions for:
Clear Current State
Clear Persistence
USB State Dump.
•
To exit Recovery Mode, simply power cycle the device and it will boot into
its normal state. If you’ve performed a software update, an option will
appear to do this automatically from Emote.
•
The Network software updater can also be accessed during a normal boot, by
clicking on the “Software Updates” button in Emote’s device info page. It
works the same way as the version in Recovery Mode.
