Operation
Check that the boiler and the HEPA filter are clean and that the device has been
correctly and completely assembled as described in the user manual.
Take into account all safety warnings on the device and in the operating
instructions.
Plug it into the socket.
Press the on button (I) to switch on the vacuum cleaner (press the
button (O) to switch off the vacuum cleaner).
The device is suitable for extracting cold ash from fireplaces, wood or coal
stoves, ash drawers and grills. Ash with a temperature higher than 40°C must
never be vacuumed! Cold ash has had sufficient time to cool down and contains
no glowing embers, hot residues or objects in which the fire has not been
completely extinguished; check through the ash (using a metal tool) before you
start vacuuming! Cold ash no longer produces palpable heat. Only vacuum ash
from conventional fuels.
Do not use the device without a properly installed filter.
While using the device, constantly check the
heating of the device and the suction hose.
When the device is used as a blower, the hose can be used with or without the
metal nozzle.
To reduce the risk of hearing damage, wear hearing protectors for prolonged use
of the device.
When using the blow function, be extra careful:
-
Keep bystanders/spectators away to prevent injury.
-
Wear a dust mask if blowing causes dust that can be inhaled.
Caution: The HEPA filter must fully depress the white switch on the engine block
otherwise the device will not work. (See label on the bottom of the motor cover
(3).)
After use: cleaning and maintenance
Empty the boiler of the device before and after each use and clean it, to prevent
materials from collecting in the boiler that present a fire hazard.
Switch the device off with the on/off button (2).
