Your patio heater is now mounted for now an extensive leakage test: Cover the
the entire "gas route" with the soap solution and determine that no gas is leaking
anywhere. The union nuts of the gas hose and gas pressure regulator are
particularly risky places. Only when you are 100% sure that gas is not leaking
anywhere, you may start using the patio heater. See also the chapter: Check for
gas leaks. Close the gas bottle housing.
Place and placement
The patio heater is intended for outdoor use. Never
use it in potentially explosive areas, such as areas
where gas or other highly flammable substances
are stored.
Ensure adequate air ventilation at all times.
Find a place well away from combustible materials:
keep at least 100 cm at the top and at least 100
cm at the side.
Place the device on a sturdy, stable, flat and
horizontal surface.
To protect the device against strong winds, you can
use it with tent pegs, etc. anchoring into the
ground. To this end, fixing points can be provided
at the base of the device (supplied). Tent pegs are
not supplied but must be adjusted to the surface.
Gas requirements
Use only propane or butane gas.
• The maximum inlet pressure of the gas regulator must not exceed 10 bar.
• A minimum supply pressure of 37 mbar is required.
• The gas pressure regulator and hose to be used must comply with legal
guidelines.
• The hose must be 60 cm long, suitable for propane / butane, meet national
regulations and be provided with a screw coupling.
• The installation must take place in accordance with the legal guidelines for the
storage and use of liquid petroleum gases.
• A dented, rusted or damaged gas bottle can be dangerous and must be checked
by your gas supplier. Never use a gas bottle with a damaged tap.
• Never connect a gas bottle to the patio heater that does not fulfil the regulations!
Check for gas leaks
The connections of the patio heater have been checked for leaks before shipment
from the factory. To exclude the possibility of damage during transport or due to
high pressure, wear, etc., a complete leakage test must always be carried out
during installation, after changing a gas bottle and after a period of storage. All
