OPERATION
WARNING!
Dry ice handling
Observe the safety guidelines for using dry ice. Always wear protective clothing and protective gloves.
Always provide adequate ventilation and oxygenation when generating ground fog.
1.
Make sure the unit is disconnected from the mains.
2.
Place the unit on a firm, level surface.
3.
Lift the ice basket with the lever and lock the lever in the highest position.
4.
Open the lid latch and open the lid. Fill the tank with water (cold or warm) up to the mark. The container can
hold up to 7.5 liters. Close and latch the lid.
5.
Connect the unit to a suitable power outlet. The circuit must be protected with at least 11 A. The red indicator
light comes on to indicate that the unit is powered on and heating up. If there is not enough water inside the
tank, the machine will not heat up.
6.
During the heating, the built-in ice basket should be locked in the highest position. After approx. 15 minutes,
the heating process is completed and the green indicator light comes on. Now the water has reached the
required temperature for fog generation.
7.
Using protective gear, open the lid and load the ice basket with 2-3 kg of dry ice. This amount provides 2.5-5
minutes of run time. If ice particles lie on the edge of the supply tank, wipe the edge clean with a cloth. The dry
ice should be loaded at the last possible moment as the steamy atmosphere inside the machine will evaporate
the dry ice immediately.
8.
Close and latch the lid again.
9.
Lower the ice basket slowly with the lever down to the middle position so that the dry ice gets in contact with
the hot water. As a result, the solid carbon dioxide evaporates immediately and releases clouds of steam
emerging from the fog nozzle. A full basket should not be plunged into the hot water. This would result in
dangerous pressure built-up due to violent action of the dry ice sublimating.
10.
When the fog output decreases, you can lower the ice basket cautiously. Raising the lever fully will quickly
stop the effect, thus you can easily control the output and flow.
11.
When water and dry ice are used up, you can refill the unit. The water temperature should be about 79° C for
optimal fog output. Once refilled, wait for the green indicator light to come on before repeating operation steps
7-10.
Safety shutoff feature
The machine is fitted with a safety shutoff feature, which prevents the heater from turning on when the water level
is too low. If this safety feature has been engaged, simply add more water to continue using the machine.
After the operation
Disconnect the machine from the mains. Transport the machine only when it is completely cooled down. To avoid
leaking water during transport, you should transport the machine only with empty supply tank.
