SETUP
Installation
Install the unit on a plane surface or a wall with screws.
Connection to the mains
The unit uses an auto-range power supply that accepts input voltages between 100 und 240 volts. Plug in the
mains cable to a grounded mains socket.
Data connections
1
Connect your loads (LED strips, neonflex, down lights) to the 4 output zones on the rear panel observing the
correct polarity. It is possible to connect all types of LED light sources which work with a constant voltage of
DC 24 V. The load by the LEDs must not exceed 150 watts; otherwise the controller will be damaged
2
Use a DMX cable to connect a DMX controller to the DMX IN terminals.
3
Alternatively, you can plug in a QuickDMX receiver into the USB port for wireless transmission of the DMX
control signal from the DMX controller. This eliminates the need for complex DMX cabling.
4
For stand-alone operation, disconnect the DMX cable or QuickDMX receiver from the controller.
Notes
•
All connections have to be made or changed only if the controller is switched off!
•
The unit is equipped with 3-pin XLR connectors for DMX connection (pin connection
page 19). If you wish to
connect units with other connectors, you need to use adapter cables. Use special DMX cables for high data flow.
If the cable length exceeds 300 m, the signal should be amplified to ensure error-free data transmission.
