The  product  is  intended  for  displaying  the  clock  time.  It  features  a  built-in  alarm 
function.

by  improper  use  or  non-observance  of  safety  instructions!  
Such circumstances will void the warranty!

 For safety reasons, unauthorized reconstruction and/or modifications of the 
product are prohibited.

 Do not expose the product to high temperatures, moisture, strong vibrations 
and high mechanical loads.

 It  is  intended  for  indoor  use  only.  Do  not  use  it  outdoors.  Contact  with 
moisture, e.g. in bathrooms, must be avoided under all circumstances.

 Contact an expert if you have any doubts regarding the operation or safety of 
this product.

 The  product  is  not  a  toy;  keep  it  out  of  the  reach  of  children.  Operate  the 
product out of the reach of children; the product contains small part which 
pose a choking hazard.

 Do not leave packing material lie around carelessly. It poses a potential danger 
if children use it as a toy.

 Handle  the  product  with  care.  Shocks,  blows  or  even  falls  from  low  heights 
may result in damage.

 Observe all other safety instructions in each chapter of this manual.

NOTES ON (RECHARGEABLE) BATTERIES

-

 

Keep (rechargeable) batteries out of the reach of children.

-

 

 Do not leave batteries lying around. There is a risk that children or pets swallow 
batteries. If a battery has been swallowed, seek medical advice immediately.

-

 

 Leaking or damaged (rechargeable) batteries can cause burns when in contact 
with skin.

-

 

 Do not short-circuit and disassemble batteries. Do not throw into fire. There is 
a risk of explosion!

-

 

 Do not recharge common batteries that are not rechargeable. There is a risk 
of explosion! Only use batteries exclusively provided for this. Use a suitable 
charger.

-

 

 Please  note  the  correct  polarity  (plus/+  and  Minus/-)  when  inserting  the 
batteries/rechargeable batteries.

INSERTING / REPLACING THE (RECHARGEABLE) 
BATTERY

-

 

Open the battery compartment on the back of the device.

-

 

 Insert a type AA battery (not included) observing correct polarity. Heed 
correct polarity as indicated in the battery compartment. Close the battery 
compartment.

-

 

 Replace the battery once the alarm clock starts running slower or the alarm 
sound starts getting lower.

   The product supports the use of rechargeable batteries. The lower operating 

voltage (rechargeable battery = 1.2 V, battery = 1.5 V) and the lower capacity 
will reduce the operating time though.

SETTING THE CLOCK

-

 

 Carefully pull out the control knob on the back of the device as far as it goes.

-

 

Turn the control knob to set the clock time.

-

 

Carefully push the control knob back into the housing.

SETTING THE ALARM TIME

-

 

 Use the control knob to set the desired alarm time. If necessary, press the 
control knob inwards. Turn the control knob to set the alarm time.

   The shortest hand indicates the alarm time. If you want the alarm to sound 

at 7:30, this hand must be centered between the numbers 7 and 8.

ACTIVATING AND DEACTIVATING THE ALARM

-

 

 Slide  out  the  rough-surfaced  switch  on  top  of  the  device  in  an  upward 
direction in order to activate the alarm function. A crescendo alarm will sound 
at the set alarm time. This is an alarm sound with steadily increasing volume, 
allowing for a gentle wake-up.

-

 

 Once the alarm sounds, push the switch back to its original position in order 
to deactivate the alarm.

SNOOZE FUNCTION AND BACKGROUND LIGHT

Lifting  the  quartz  alarm  clock  can  activate  the  snooze  function  and  background 
light. The background light will turn off again after a few seconds.
Once the alarm sounds, lift the alarm clock. The alarm pauses and will sound again 
after approx. 4 minutes.

SETUP LOCATION

Choose an even, flat and stable location for the device.
Protect valuable furniture surfaces with a suitable pad to prevent scratching.
Install the alarm clock in such a way that it cannot fall off.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Apart  from  changing  batteries,  this  product  does  not  require  any  user  maintenance. 
Never disassemble the product.
Use a clean, soft and dry cloth for cleaning.
Do not use any chemical cleaning agents, as such could cause discoloration of the housing.

DISPOSAL

a) Product

  Used electrical and electronic devices are recyclable and may not be    

 

disposed of with the household waste!

 

Dispose of the product in accordance with applicable regulatory guidelines  

 

at the end of its service life,

 

Remove any inserted (rechargeable) battery and dispose of them separately 

  

from the product.

b) Batteries/rechargeable batteries

You  as  the  end  user  are  required  by  law  (Battery  Ordinance)  to  return  all  used 
batteries/rechargeable  batteries.  Disposing  of  them  in  the  household  waste  is 
prohibited.

   Contaminated  (rechargeable)  batteries  are  labelled  with  this  symbol  to 

indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden.

  The designations for the heavy metals involved are:

 

Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on (rechargeable) batteries,  

 

e.g. below the trash icon on the left).

 

Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your  

 

municipality, our stores or wherever (rechargeable) batteries are sold.

You  thus  fulfill  your  statutory  obligations  and  contribute  to  the  protection  of  the 
environment.
