Heating: Emptying the hot water boiler
12.3.1
Truma FrostControl
The Truma FrostControl is located in the area of the heating system.
Truma FrostControl is an overpressure relief valve and drain valve with frost protection function which is operated without
using electrical power.
CAUTION!
Damage to the water system
If the Truma FrostControl cannot empty the hot water boiler at temperatures below approx. 3 °C, this may
lead to frost damage on the water system.

The drain plug on the Truma FrostControl must be kept free from debris (slush, ice, leaves, etc.).
)
If you expect frost, empty the water system completely when the heating system is switched off.
Opening the Truma FrostControl
1.
Switch off the water pump via the switch on the on-
board control (see section “11.5 On-board control”).
2.
Open all taps and shower heads to the centre position.
3.
Turn the rotary switch (Fig. 61, item 1) from position B,
“Closed”, by 90° until it engages in position A, “Empty”.
The push-button (Fig. 61, item 2) springs out.
The contents of the hot water boiler are then emptied
directly outside via the drain plug.
4.
During draining, check that the contents of the hot
water boiler empties completely.
Closing the Truma FrostControl
1.
Turn the rotary switch (Fig. 61, item 1) from position A
“Drain” by 90° until it engages in position B “Closed”.
2.
Push in the push-button (Fig. 61, item 2).
