10. Water supply
10.1 Fresh water supply

The water supply corresponds at least with the state of the art of 03/2009 (Directive 2002/72/EC).

Water from the fresh water tank should be used as drinking water only if it is certain that at the time
of filling the water had, and still has, drinking water quality.
The owner/user bears the sole respon-
sibility for the quality of the water added to the tank.
CAUTION!
Damage to the water pump
The water pump will jam if operated without water.

Do not use the water pump without water.
For a supply of fresh water, all models come equipped with a fresh water tank and a water pump. The water pump is
operated using a 12 V system. The pump fitted in the fresh water tank starts when a tap is used.
The fresh water tank is located under a cover in the rear of the vehicle. The fresh water tank is heated via a heating line
(see section “12.4 Heating the fresh water tank and waste water tank”).
The cleaning opening (Fig. 47, item 1) is used when carrying
out maintenance work on or cleaning the fresh water tank.
The cleaning opening is located under a cover in the rear of
the vehicle.
