FAULTS
An asphalt distributor has twenty-two (22) unique faults that may be active at any time. While Fault Control is
active, whenever a new fault is active the display will go to this screen and show the new fault. Newly-activated
faults will flash their white title font at one-second intervals, for five total seconds, to indicate is new. Newly-acti
-
vated faults will also flash their yellow diagnostics button (?) at one-second intervals until the diagnostics button
is tapped, indicating the fault has gone undiagnosed.
T
he Faults screen has two pages. A fault that is newly active flashes its title font, indicating to the operator it is
new and demands attention. The blue question mark button is for diagnostics. Tap the question mark and a pop-
up will show, detailing the fault and suggesting how it may be resolved.
To ignore the fault, press its red X button. The fault will be ignored on the display for 15 minutes and only reap-
pear after that time if it is still active in the computer.

• Under Application
The hydraulic pump is at its maximum output and the asphalt pump is under the desired application
rate. The ground speed is too fast and/or the engine speed is too slow.
• Over Application
The hydraulic pump is at its minimum output and the asphalt pump is over the desired application rate.
The ground speed is too slow and/or the engine speed is too fast.
• EDC Feedback Range
The feedback from the hydraulic pump EDC is outside its commanded range.
• Zero Motor Speed (Motor Feedback)
The asphalt pump speed remains at 0 GPM for too long. The asphalt pump may not be turning, or the
motor speed sensor is disconnected from the computer.
• Pump Calibration
The current setup parameter “Pump Threshold [mA]” is outside the acceptable range of the hydraulic
pump, or the automatic threshold calibration did not settle on a close range.
• Radar Calibration
The radar calibration is outside the acceptable range, or the radar is disconnected from the computer.
•
Asphalt Temperature Sensor
The RTD sensor is disconnected from the computer or giving unexpected feedback.
