Cleaning the ceramic hob
Daily cleaning
• For daily cleaning, a damp cloth with a mild cleaning agent is best.
• Dry off with kitchen paper or a dry tea towel.
• Special cleaning products for ceramic hobs have the advantage
that a thin film remains on the glass cooktop, which prevents over-
boiled food and limescale burning in as easily, making the hob
easier to clean next time.
• It is best to wait with cleaning until the hob has cooled.
• Over-boiled food with a lot of sugar and acids, for example
applesauce, rhubarb or red cabbage, should be removed
immediately with a moist washcloth to prevent them burning in. Be
careful with the hot cooking zone!
Stubborn stains
• Stubborn stains can also be removed with a mild cleaning agent,
washing-up liquid, for example.
• Remove water circles and limescale with cleaning vinegar.
• Traces of metals (caused by sliding pans) can be difficult to remove.
Special products are available for this.
• Use a glass scraper to remove food spills. Melted plastic or sugar
can also be removed with a glass scraper.
