6• PREPARATION AND GETTING STARTED

PREPARATION OF THE RECHARGEABLE

STORAGE CELL

For safety reasons during transport, the protective fuses of your

rechargeable storage cell are not installed on delivery.
• Turn the rechargeable storage cell, unscrew and remove the lids of

the two fuse holders marked «T30A» and «F15A» (see picure 1a).

• Install the 2 fuses supplied with your rechargeable storage cell and

screw the lids back.

CHARGING THE RECHARGEABLE

STORAGE CELL

WARNING!

N-ERGY PA362E rechargeable storage cell must only

be recharged with the CA362E charger. Recharging should not be

done in confined areas or an environment which is damp, dusty or

under exposure to heat.
The storage cell can remain on the lawn for the recharging process or

be recharged off mower.
When the storage cell is put in charge on the mower, remove the

safety key. When charging is complete, unplug the charger and put

on the protective cap before inserting the security key for using your

mower.

CONNECTING THE CA362E CHARGER

• Remove the protective cap from the charging socket of the

rechargeable storage cell and connect the charging cable connector

(see 1 picture 1b) respecting the orientation determined by the

actuator and screw and tighten the retaining ring.

• Connect the power cord of the charger to the connection socket on

the rear of the casing and to a 230 V~ outlet.

It automatically activates the charging status display on top of the

rechargeable storage cell (see 2 picture 1b) which is accompanied by

the LEDs on the front of the charger being lit.

 -

Voltage indicator lit red (see 3 picture 1b) : The charger is

powered correctly.

 -

Charging indicator lit red (see 4 picture 1b) : Charge cycle in

progress.

Monitoring the charge cycle and charge termination

The observation of the charging status display on top of the

rechargeable storage cell informs you about the progress of the

charging. 5 coloured LEDs light up progressively, starting with the

red light next to the «I/O» button.
When the five lights are on, the rechargeable storage cell is almost

charged. When charging is complete, the charging current is

automatically terminated and the charge indicator on the charger

changes colour (green).
• Remove the power cord plug from the 230 V outlet.

• Unscrew the retaining ring and remove the charging connector.

• Put on the protective cap on the input socket of the rechargeable

storage cell.

• Put the rechargeable storage cell in stand-by mode by pressing the

«I/O» button on the display: the lights go out.

Otherwise, the rechargeable storage cell is put on stand-by by itself

after a few minutes.

INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL OF

RECHARGABLE STORAGE CELL

For installing the rechargeable storage cell on the mower

• Take the storage cell by its handle and place it in front of the mower

(see 1 picture 2).

• Hook the edge of the storage cell and install it on the machine with

an arc movement toward the rear (see 2 picture 2).

• Press sparingly on the handle to clip the storage cell in its holder: a

clicking sound confirms the correct installation of the storage cell

(see 3 picture 2).

For removing the storage cell

• Grasp the handle and lift by applying a small pulse to unclip it, and

then pull the storage cell towards the front of the mower.

THE HANDLEBAR

• Unfold the handlebar, ensuring the remote control cables are

correctly positioned (see picture 3).

• Tighten the 2 wing-nuts of the intermediate handlebar fastening

(see picture 4).

• Position the handlebar at the required height according to how tall

you are (choice of 3 positions). Insert the positioning lug in the

corresponding hole in the handlebar mounting (see a picture 5) then

screw in and tighten the nut (see b picture 5). Important: make sure

you fasten both lower parts at the same height.

Keep your fingers away from the joints to avoid injury.

There must no be any play in the handlebar

attachement.

CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

Proceed only after engine has been switched off.

Set the cutting height according to the height of the grass to be cut.
• Pull the centralized adjustment lever outwards (see a picture 6) to

release it from its notch, then turn it to the desired position (see b

picture 6) and release it into its new notch. The numerical values on

the indicator correspond to the cutting height in millimetres.

Adapt the cutting height to the height and density of the grass and

the weather conditions. If the grass to be cut is very dense or wet, the

cutting height will need to be raised.

STARTING AND STOPPING THE ENGINE

AND THE CUTTING BLADE

• Install the rechargeable storage cell on your mower.

• Insert the safety key into its holder and push it all the way (see

picture 7).

• Press on the «I/O» button on the display of the rechargeable storage

cell to activate it. The lights turn on and tell you about the state of

charge of the storage cell (see picture 8).

• Make sure that the blade is well mounted and tightened and make

sure that the handlebars are securely locked.

• Start the mower on a clear area. Never tilt it to start or when the

blade is rotating.

• Check that the engaging handle (drive NACTS) is in the released

position.

• Stand behind the handlebar.

• Press and hold the yellow button on the circuit breaker switch

(see a picture 9) and move the operating lever towards the handle

bar (see b picture 9) : the engine and the cutting blade start up

simultaneously.

• Release the yellow button : it will stay pressed in for as long as you

maintain pressure on the operating lever.

• To stop, release the lever : the motor and the blade are stopped and

braked.
