If the location of your new fitting requires the provision of a new electrical supply, the supply must
conform with the requirements of the latest edition of the IEE wiring regulations.

Make connections to the electrical supply in accordance with the following code:
Live - Brown or Red
Neutral - Blue or Black

This product is designed for permanent connection to fixed wiring: this should be either a suitable
lighting circuit ( protected with a 5 or 6 Amp MCB or fuse ) or a fused spur ( with a 3 Amp fuse ) via
a fused connection unit. We recommend that the supply incorporates a switch for ease of
operation.
>
This fitting is double insulated, do not connect any part to earth.
>
Ensure that the minimum distance from the light to any flammable surface is at least 40mm.
>
If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
Installation:
1) Turn off the electrical supply and remove the appropriate circuit fuse.
2) Choose the location of your pygmy light so that the movement of the switch is within the
ranges shown in the diagram opposite.
3) Ensure that there is at least 40mm between the fitting and any overhanging or
horizontal surface. See diagram opposite.
4) Secure the fitting in place using screws appropriate to the mounting surface.
5) Using cable clips for 2 x 0.75mm² flat twin flex, secure the cable to the mounting
surface choosing a route which prevents the cable from fouling the movement of
whatever you have planned to actuate the switch.
6) Using an Eterna ® Link lead ( not supplied ), make your connection to the mains
supply. See above for wiring colour code.
7) Fit the 15 Watt pygmy lamp supplied.
8) Restore the power and switch on.
