Overview
The Phase Adaptive Dimmer
controller provides forward or
reverse phase dimming control
for line voltage lighting with
single channel output based on
input from compatible Echoflex
devices.
The 1200 Watt Phase Adaptive
Dimmer (ER12CD) is available at
120 VAC or 277 VAC. The 600
Watt model (ER6CD) is available
at 120 VAC.
The dimmer provides control for
line voltage tungsten lamps,
Electronic Low Voltage (ELV) and Magnetic Low Voltage (MLV) loads (120 V
only), 2-wire fluorescent ballasts, and line voltage LED drivers.
This document covers the installation of all the Phase Adaptive Dimmer
Controller models. The
Echoflex Phase Dimmer Controller Configuration
Guide
is available for download at
The product package includes the controller and a lock nut.
Prepare for Installation
To ensure optimal function, consider the installation environment and the
following guidelines:
• High density construction materials and large metal appliances or
fixtures in the space may disrupt wireless reception.
• Switches and sensors should be installed within range, 24 m (80 ft)
unobstructed view. Consider adding a repeater to extend the wireless
signal, if required.
• Mount the controller to an electrical junction box or a panel in a
location and at a height where it is not subject to tampering by
unauthorized personnel.
Supplies required to install the controller (not provided):
• Appropriately sized wire nuts
• Small cable ties
