Function
The heat is released from the primary side heat
producer (e.g.: buffer) via the heat exchanger to the
secondary side consumer. The ETAtouch control
system continuously adjusts the speed of the primary
pump so that the required flow temperature is
achieved for the consumer on the secondary side.
The secondary pump starts either when the
temperature (minus the release difference [Sec.
pump release diff.]) requested by the consumer is
reached on the primary side or when the requested
temperature has not been achieved on the primary
side after the set duration [Sec. pump max. switch-on
delay].
Example:
A heating circuit which demands a 50 °C flow
temperature is connected to the secondary side. The
secondary pump starts once the primary side reaches
45 °C (= 50° - 5 °C).
If 45 °C has not been achieved before the lapse of the
set duration [Sec. pump max. switch-on delay], the
secondary pump still starts up in order to supply the
consumer.
The secondary pump is switched off when the
consumer's demand has been met.
A maximum flow temperature can be set for the
secondary side in order to protect the underfloor
heating, for example. Underfloor heating and
wall heating systems still require a safety thermostat,
however.
9.1.1.1
Operating modes
Ready
There is currently no request from the secondary-side
consumer.
On
The consumer on the secondary side is supplied with
heat.
FreezeProt
The feed temperature of the primary or secondary side
has exceeded the set frost protection limit. If the
secondary side is at risk of freezing, only the primary
pump is started to raise the flow temperature. The
secondary pump remains switched off, as otherwise
the secondary circuit would cool down the primary
circuit.
If the secondary side is not at risk of freezing, both
pumps are in operation.
The pump(s) remain in operation until the feed
temperature is at least 2 °C warmer than the set frost
protection limit [Flow freeze prot. limit].
Malfunction
There is a malfunction of the feed temperature sensor.
Locked
The ETAtouch control system has disabled the module
(locked). Because, for example, a second heat
producer in the heating system is currently in operation
and the module may not be in operation simultaneous-
ly.
