Cleaning dust container and cleaning filter
After the container has been emptied about 5 times, we recommend complete
cleaning of the suction system from the settled dust. All parts (e.g.
container, micro-filter,
filter protector
) can be cleaned in running lukewarm water (e.g.
using a cloth or a soft
brush
) and let to dry thoroughly (Fig. 13). Re-assemble individual parts in the opposite
direction after it is completely dry.
V. MAINTENANCE
Unplug the battery charger or the automatic cable from the appliance before any
maintenance. Store the vacuum cleaner at a dry place, far enough from heat sources
(e.g.
fireplace, stove, heating element
) and protect it against weather conditions
(e.g.
rain, sunshine
). Treat the surface of the vacuum cleaner and the battery charger
(only when disconnected from the electric socket) with a soft and wet cloth, do not use
abrasive and aggressive cleaning agents! Never dry plastic moldings over a heat source
(e.g.
heater, electric/gas stove
). Store the appliance properly cleaned at a dry, dust-free
place out of reach of children and incapacitated people.
Floor nozzle with rotation brush
After any vacuuming it is recommended to check visually the brushes or collectors for
possible impurities. If you find some impurities, remove them in the way specified below.
Cut threads and hair with scissors and remove them. If hair or threads are twisted around
the mounting of the drive shaft and if they cannot be removed in the way described
above, the impurities have to be removed by dismantling the nozzles. Unscrew the bolt in
the lower part and remove the cover " " (Fig. 14). Bend the locking cog with a suitable
tool (e.g. a flat screwdriver). Now you can remove the brush from its position (Fig. 15) and
clean it. Insert the brush to the nozzle in the opposite direction (you will hear a snapping
sound) and secure it properly with a lid " ".
CAUTION
- The maximum suction effect will be reached with a clean micro-filter and an empty
container.
- Do not use any aggressive washing or cleaning agents or hot water to clean the micro-
filter.
- The micro-filter is not intended for washing in a dishwasher!
- The dust container is not resistant to cleaning in a dishwasher!
- Cleaning the micro-filter will not restore its original colour, but it will restore its filtration
properties.
- Neglecting the micro-filter cleaning may lead to breakdown of the vacuum cleaner!
- Make sure that the contact surfaces and the sealing elements are functional.
- We recommend replacing the micro-filter twice a year or when it cannot be cleaned
properly or if it is damaged. You can buy spare micro-filters in the elektro shop chain.
