Attention:
After the preparation, the coffee in the kettle may have different quality and
taste than coffee from the first cups prepared before pausing the process.
Recommendation
–
We do not recommend heating prepared coffee for longer than 40 minutes.
–
If you wish to prepare another kettle of coffee immediately, let the coffee maker cool
off for approx. 10 minutes. Dump the used coffee from the filters, rinse it and put it
back. Rinse the glass kettle and put it back on the heating plate. Repeat the process of
preparation.
–
If you wish to re-heat already prepared coffee, you may put the kettle into a microwave.
i

V. MAINTENANCE
Unplug the appliance from an electric outlet before each maintenance and clean
only after the appliance has cooled off!
Pull the
B
holder and
B1
filter out of the coffee
maker. Holder, filter and glass kettle can be washed in a dishwasher. Put the filter holder
back into the coffee maker (
make sure it is inserted correctly
). Other parts of the
coffee maker (housing, heating plate) should be cleaned with a damp cloth.
Do not use
rough and abrasive cleaning agents
(e.g.
sharp objects, scrapers, diluents or other
dissolvents
). Some foods may discolor the accessory. This has no impact on the function
of the appliance and can not be a reason for refund. This discoloration usually disappears
with time. Never dry the plastic die-cast over a heat source (e.g.
stove, cooker, radiator
).
Removing calcic sediments
In case of significantly longer time of coffee preparation, it is necessary to carry out
cleaning of the water system from calcic and mineral sediments which are contained
in drinking water. These sediments may be removed with a water solution with agents
intended for these purposes. After finishing the cleaning, do not forget to rinse the water
system of the coffee maker with clean drinking water at least 3 times to remove potential
remnants of the cleaning agent used. In case of very thick sediments, you can repeat
the process.
Carry out the cleaning regularly
, approx. 2-3 times a year with water
hardness up to 18 °DH (22,5 °Clarke) a 4-5 times a year with water hardness over 18 °DH
(22,5 °Clarke). You may find out the information on water hardness at your water mains
administrator or at a hygienic station. Never use a descaling agent based on mineral acids
such as sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulphamic acid and acetic acid (e.g. vinegar).
These descaling agents may damage your ETA coffee machine.
