After use
• After use, set the switch to the "O" position,
unplug the power cord and allow to cool for 1
hour.
• Make sure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.
• The resistor does not clean itself. If it is really
dirty, wait until it has cooled down completely
and rub it with a dry cloth.
• The plate and water tank must be cleaned after
each use with hot water and washing-up liquid.
• When cleaning, be sure not to immerse the unit’s
electrical parts in water or any other liquid.
• The unit should be stored indoors, away from
rain and moisture, and away from sources of
heat.
• The plate and water tank can be cleaned in the
dishwasher. However, we recommend that you
first wash it by hand to maximise the life of your
product.
• The first time you use the plate, wash it, and
then pour a little oil on it and wipe it with a soft
cloth.
• To avoid damaging the plate, use it only on the
unit for which it was designed (for example: do
not put it in an oven, on a gas or electric cooker,
etc.).
• Always pour 1.5 litres maximum of water into
the tank to keep the barbecue running.
• Regularly check to make sure there is enough
water left in the tank during cooking. You
can top it up.
• If the resistor is incorrectly positioned, the safety
system prevents the unit from being switched
on.
• To avoid any damage to your product, never
make flambéed recipes on it.
• Do not put frozen or cold food on the plancha.
Tip: let the meat come up to room temperature
(take it out of the fridge at least 30 min before
cooking) before cooking it on the plancha.
