I can no longer turn
on my appliance after
the first use or after
several uses.
None of the burners
on my appliance
lights up, on first use,
or after several uses.
a) Clean each of the previously dismantled burners and injectors directly
(without pre-testing) with compressed air (usually available from your
retailer).
b) Gas cylinder
valve closed,
insufficiently open
or not purged.
Open the gas cylinder valve (further) to release it into
the appliance's circuit.
Purge the regulator by pressing the button
on the regulator at the gas cylinder.
c) Empty gas
cylinder
Try to turn the appliance back on with a new gas
cylinder.
If the device turns on again with the new cylinder, it
means that your original cylinder was empty.
d) Connection
hose for the
cylinder-appliance
is obstructed
Try to switch the appliance on again with another
connection hose.
If the appliance turns on again, it means that your
original hose was blocked: Clean it with compressed
air (usually available from your retailer).
The appliance’s
burners do not light
using the button
(piezo) but with a
match, it works.
Integrated
electronic ignition
system (Piezo)
incorrectly
positioned or
defective.
Gently move the tip of the piezo so that it is located
about 3 - 4 mm from the burner and at a hole in the
burner.
If this does not work, it means that the Piezo is
defective. Contact your retailer.
The flame turns yellow
instead of blue.
Blocked burner
(venturi tube) or
injector incorrectly
positioned.
Dismantle the burner with the yellow flames and
replace it for the duration of the test with one of
the other burners (which works), which has been
dismantled beforehand. Perform an ignition test:
• If the burner (the "replacement” used for the test)
also has yellow flames:
This means that it is the injector that is not correctly
positioned. There is therefore too much air in the air/
gas ratio, which causes yellow flames to appear.
Contact your retailer.
• If the burner (the "replacement” used for the test)
does not have yellow flames:
This means that the initial burner is blocked. Clean
it with compressed air or a pipe cleaner (usually
available from your retailer).
•
Spiders and insects can nest in burner tubes and block the gas supply or cause fire flashbacks.
To avoid damaging the appliance and causing a dangerous situation, check and clean the burners
frequently.
•
Check that the gas bottle is completely full.
•
Set all burner control knobs to the “
•
OFF
” position (stop) then connect the gas supply.
•
Check for possible gas leaks using a solution of water and washing-up liquid. Refer to the “Gas
cylinder connection - Leak test” section.
•
Make sure the griddle plate is clean before use.

IMPORTANT
NEVER DISASSEMBLE THE GAS MANIFOLD
BUILT INTO THE GRIDDLE (located behind the front control panel),
THE VALVES, INJECTORS OR ANY PART PROTECTED BY THE MANUFACTURER
The flame is lit on 2
burners, but not on the
3rd, or on 1 burner, or
not on the 2nd.
Blocked burner
(venturi tube) and/
or injector(s)
Remove the inoperational burner and replace it
for the duration of the test with one of the other
burners (which works), which has been dismantled
beforehand as well. Perform a test on the ignition:
- If the burner (the "replacement” used for the test)
does not light up:
This means that it is the injector that is blocked.
Clean it with compressed air (usually available from
your retailer).
- If the burner (the "replacement” used for the test)
lights up:
This means that the initial burner is blocked. Clean
it with compressed air or with a pipe cleaner (usually
available from your retailer).
Flames come out
through one of the
buttons on the control
panel.
Immediately shut off the gas supply, taking all necessary precautions.
Clean the previously dismantled burner and injector directly (without prior
testing) for the button in question with compressed air (usually available
from your retailer).
