Troubleshooting

If you experience any problem with this unit, please take the time to
look through this chart and see if you can solve the problem yourself
before calling your dealer.

No power.

e

Make sure to plug the power cord into the AC outlet. Make sure

there is power to the AC outlet by plugging another item such as
a lamp or fan to test the outlet circuit.

e

Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.

No sound

e

Check amplifier and digital device connections.

Check the analog audio output setting (page 11).

Input indicator flashes.

e

Turn on the device connected to the selected input terminal.

e

Check whether the connection to the selected input terminal is

correct.

A beeping noise occurs at regular intervals.

e

The D-07 is in Word sync mode, but the connected device is not.

Check the connection to the Word sync terminal and the setup of
the connected device.

This phenomenon occurs when the error detected is below the

limit of detection for the D-07 word error that would normally
produce a WRD ERROR.

The WORD indicator flashes.

e

Set the “MCK” (Master clock) setting to “PLL1” or “PLL2” when you

do not use the word sync mode.

e

An incompatible signal is input. Check the word sync connections

and the setup of the connected devices.

If normal operation cannot be obtained, unplug the power cord
from the outlet and plug it again. This resets the internal micro-
computer  which  can  be  disturbed  during  electrical  storms,
power interruptions, et cetera.

Beware of condensation

When the unit is moved from a cold to a warm place, or used after
a sudden temperature change, there is a danger of condensation;
vapor  in  the  air  could  condense  on  the  internal  mechanism,
making  correct  operation  impossible. To  prevent  this,  or  if  this
occurs, leave the unit turned on for one or two hours. Then the unit
will stabilize at the temperature of its surroundings.

Maintenance

If  the  surface  of  the  unit  gets  dirty,  wipe  with  a  soft  cloth  or
use  diluted  neutral  cleaning  liquid.  Be  sure  to  remove  any  fluid
completely. Do not use thinner, benzine (naphtha) or alcohol as
they may damage the surface of the unit. For the sake of safety,
disconnect the power plug before cleaning.
