4. Cleaning:
To clean the surface of the device, as well as the diode at the
point, you may use all mild cleaning agents and disinfectants. For
this purpose, only use a dampened cloth.
Attention: Liquids must not be allowed to enter the interior of the
Perlux IR-950. Never attempt to sterilize the device!
Organic solvents and strong household cleaning agents must
never be used to clean the device. In the case of longer periods of
non-use (longer than 5 days), please remove the batteries, other-
wise the device may be damaged (battery leakage).
5. Contraindications, Precautions and Side Effects:
No side effects are known to us.
Important: Never beam into open or closed eyes with the device
Perlux IR-950!
The device has been exclusively designed for therapists and may
only be used by trained personnel.
This infrared therapy is based upon the somatotopies, zones and
points, which have been developed over the many years that Mr.
Peter Mandel has worked in his practice. The effects on zones and
points, which may have been derived from other infrared thera-
pies, have not been checked.
For this reason, we explicitly recommend
not using unchecked ap-
plications
, and we assume no liability for the effects on patients.
6. Inspection, Maintenance and Repairs
The Perlux IR-950 does not require regular maintenance. In case of
uncertainties or complaints about the functionality, please contact
the manufacturer directly: esogetics GmbH in Bruchsal, Germany.
Only the manufacturer or persons appointed by the manufacturer are
authorized to repair or to make other changes to the instrument. We
assume no liability for inappropriate changes and handling that does
not conform to the described purpose of use. The warranty period for
the instrument is one year from the purchase date. Please contact the
manufacturer directly, if your instrument does not work properly al-
though you have handled it correctly. The manufacturer will immedi-
ately repair the device or replace the defective one with an equivalent
device.
