  Applying the Cuff

z

Before you put the cuff on your wrist make

certain that you are not wearing a thick coat
or sweater.

z

If you are wearing a long sleeved shirt, roll up

the sleeve, but make sure that it is not
constricting circulation to your arm.

z

Wrap the cuff around your wrist making sure

that it is secure but is not too tight.

z

Place your arm on a table with your palm

facing upwards; the monitor should be
facing you.    It is important to make sure
that the wrist cuff is at the same level as
your heart.
