· Never operate the appliance without the air inlet cover in place.
· Disconnect from the mains before cleaning or servicing the appliance.
· When the appliance is new, sparking may occur at the collector of the motor inside the appli-
ance. This phenomenon disappears after a brief operating period and does not indicate that
there is any impairment of the appliance’s operational safety.
· Never use the appliance if it is defective, if it has fallen onto the floor or if the mains cable
is damaged. A damaged mains cable may only be replaced with an original replacement
cable by an authorised Service Centre or another similarly qualified person, in order to avoid
hazards.
· Repairs may only be performed at an authorised Service Centre using original parts. Only
specialists properly trained in the handling of electrotechnical appliances may repair electrical
equipment.
· Only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
· When disconnecting the appliance from the mains, never pull on the mains cable or on the
appliance itself.
· Do not hold the appliance by the mains cable to carry it and do not use the cable as a
handle.
· Do not wind the mains cable around the appliance.
· Keep the mains cable and appliance away from hot surfaces.
· Make sure that the mains cable is not twisted or kinked when used and stored.
· When using a diffuser, never set the hairdryer to a high temperature as this could result in
the overheating of the diffuser or hairdryer.
· Never insert or allow objects to fall into the openings of the appliance.
· Never use the appliance where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is
released.
· The appliance is safety insulated and radio screened. It meets the requirements of EU
Directive 2004/108/EC regarding electromagnetic compatibility and EC Low Voltage Directive
2006/95/EC.
· We are not liable for damage caused as a result of improper use or failure to observe these
operating instructions.
Operation
· Connect to the mains power supply.
· The hairdryers have two heat settings and two fan settings. Separate switches allow four or
six temperature/fan settings. The cold-shot switch can be used to fix the hairstyle:
On/off switch (F):
· Switch on the appliance at the on/off switch (F) and set the desired fan setting.
Fan-setting switch (E):

Fan setting 1, for a gentle airflow

Fan setting 2, for a strong airflow
· Select the required temperature setting.
Switch for temperature settings (D):
