5.9 Powering down the unit

There is no specific AT command to be transmitted to the

GenPro 18e

modem before removing the power.

5.10 Updating the modem software

So as to be able to benefit from the latest functions of the

GenPro 18e

, a procedure is used which will

upgrade the software in the modem.

This consists of downloading the software into the internal Flash memory via the RS232 serial link available

on the 15-pin Sub HD connector.

Please refer to the software update procedure document for a detailed description of this procedure.
