1. Wait until the ERBEJET 2 display shows

Prime

.

2. Press the 

START

 selection button.

3. Verify whether the suction hose of the

pump cartridge fills with the separating
medium. The priming process takes up to
20 seconds.

4. Functional test: Activate the footswitch

until separating medium flows from the
tip of the instrument.

Prerequisite: The option is switched on (can be
carried out by Erbe employees).

Note:

 If you activate the ERBEJET 2 frequently,

you can reduce possible obstructions in the
instrument (e.g. in the HybridKnife).

The pump cartridge is intended for treating
one patient. When treating this one patient,
you can change the instrument as often as you
like. 

Press the release button to detach the in-
strument.

Note: 

Use aseptic techniques when you

change the instrument.

Before you switch off the device: 
1. Press EJECT to remove the pump car-

tridge. Observe the instructions on the
display. 

2. Remove the pump cartridge. 

Operating steps for ESM 2, only

for applicator and monopolar ap-

plicator:

Switch on the ESM 2.

Connect the vacuum hose with the mem-
brane filter.

Note: 

Use a new membrane filter in the fol-

lowing cases: For each new application. If the
membrane filter has been unpacked for longer
than 7 days. If the membrane filter has
absorbed moisture.

1. Attach the adapter onto the connection

port for the suction hose.

2. Attach the applicator suction hose to the

adapter.
