For all modles except the separate remote with knob(s) only, Touch the On/Off button,
marked with the familiar vertical line within a circle symbol, to turn the unit on. The unit will
perform a power on self-test, and then the display will read 0. The appliance will not heat a
pan at this stage. Press and hold the + button until desired temperature, power level or
power output level in watts is reached. Alternately, the setting can be adjusted with single
taps of the ‘+’ or ‘–‘ buttons, for slower increase/decrease. The P1 and P2 preset buttons
may also be used to control the unit.
The display can be set to represent wattage, temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius or a
numerical value from 1 to 25. To show temperature, press the T
0
button on the panel. The
temperature indicator above the display will light. To change between Fahrenheit and
Celsius, hold the ‘+’ and ‘-‘ buttons simultaneously for several seconds, until the display
switches over. Press the T
0
It is not necessary to set the timer for the unit to operate, but if desired, the unit can be set
to turn off in one minute increments, up to 99 minutes. The timer is set the same way as
the temperature/power settings
again to return to wattage display. When the temperature light
is not lit, the display can be switched between wattage and power level, which is a
numerical setting of 1 through 25 by again holding the ‘+’ and ‘-‘ buttons simultaneously for
several seconds, until the display switches over. Once a number appears in the display,
the unit will begin to heat if a pan is in place, or will flash slowly if no pan is in place. The
induction coil is not operating if the display is flashing. If the display flashes with a pan on
the cook top, it is either not an induction ready pan or it is smaller than about 4 ¾”
(120mm), and cannot be detected.
Touch the power button again to turn the unit off. The fan will continue to run for a short
time to cool the unit, and then will shut off.
The knob only remote has been designed for extremely simple operation, like a standard
stovetop. Turn the knob clockwise to the desired setting to turn on and begin operation.
The further the knob is turned, the higher the heat setting, up to max.
PROGRAMMING THE ONE TOUCH BUTTONS P1 AND P2
Whether setting temperature, power level or power output in watts, the process is the
same. First, select the desired setting using the ‘+’ and ‘-‘ buttons (and set the timer, if you
so choose), then press and hold one of the two programmable quick touch buttons for
several seconds, until the unit beeps. Your desired setting is now saved, and can be
selected with a single touch of this button in the future.
