Unplug the appliance (if necessary, switch off the fuse).
Smother the flames with a large pot lid, plate, moist cloth or by using a fire extinguisher.
NEVER EXTINGUISH WITH WATER!
After the fire has been extinguished allow cooking utensils and the appliance to cool
down and ensure that there is a sufficient flow of fresh air.
