Function
The radiator thermostat enables you to intelligently
control radiators. The device receives its commands
programcontrolled via the central unit. You can also
adjust the desired temperature manually.
Hazard warning
• Do not open the radiator thermostat. It does not
contain any parts to be serviced by the user. If a
fault occurs, please contact our Customer Service.
• The radiator thermostat is only suitable for regu
lating heaters (radiators, convectors, hot strips)
heated by heat carriers. Using it for other purposes
(e.g. on cooling systems, floor heaters etc.) is not
permitted and can lead to damage.
Commissioning

Disassemble the mechanical thermostat by turn
ing it to the left as far as the limit stop. Remove the
thermostat from the valve.

Insert the batteries (type AA) into the battery com
partment ensuring the correct polarity. Wait until
the pin is fully retracted and „A2” appears on the
display.

Now install the radiator thermostat. The radiator
thermostat fits all standard valves with a M30 × 1.5
mm connection thread. You will need adapters for
specific heater valves. Adapters for Danfoss valves
of the RAV, RA and RAVL series are included.

The radiator thermostat starts selfadjustment.
“A3” appears on the display. This procedure can
take up to three minutes. If the procedure is
aborted, “F2” appears on the display. You can
restart the procedure by pressing the control but
ton.

Integrate the device via the user software in the
SmartHome system.
Meaning of the symbols in the display
Displays the quality of the radio recep
tion. A continuous light signals good radio
reception. The symbol flashes if the radio
transmission is weak.
Shows that frost protection has been acti
vated.
Shows that the batteries are worn out.
Please change the batteries immediately.
Displays an open window. This appears if
a window contact is open or if there is a
dramatic fall in temperature (e.g. open
window).
Shows which operating mode has been
activated. (manual / automatic)
A1
The control pin is fully retracted to make
installation easier.
A2
The control pin has fully retracted and the
radiator thermostat can be installed.
A3
The control range is identified and selfad
justment for the complete range of func
tions takes place.
