Replacing Ink Cartridges
Caution:
❏
Do not disassemble ink cartridges.
If disassembled, ink could get in your eyes or adhere to your skin.
❏
Do not shake the ink cartridges too
vigorously; this can cause them to leak
.
❏
Keep ink cartridges out of the reach of children and do not drink the ink.
❏
If ink gets on your skin, wash it thoroughly with soap and water. If ink gets into your eyes, flush them
immediately with water. If ink gets into your mouth, spit it out and see a doctor right away.

Important:
❏
See the following points when working with ink cartridges.
“Notes on Ink Cartridges” on page 21
❏
If you do not have a new ink cartridge for installation, leave the expended ink cartridge in the printer until
the new one is ready. If the printer is left without the ink cartridges, it may malfunction.
❏
When an ink cartridge is running low, replace it with a new ink cartridge as soon as possible
.
❏
Do not leave the printer without ink cartridges installed. The inks inside the printer may dry and you may
not be able to print. When you are not using the printer, make sure there is an ink cartridge installed in each
slot.
