FAQ’S & Caring for Your Eco-Flo – READ CAREFULLY!

Here are some tips to make sure that your new system performs trouble-free.

GENTLY SHAKE/ROTATE ALL INK BOTTLES ON A MONTHLY BASIS...

This is to ensure the pigments stay suspended in solution and give consistent results.

WHERE POSSIBLE, LEAVE YOUR PRINTER TURNED ON AT ALL TIMES, consider deactivating the R3000 time
saving/sleep feature.

USE THE WHITE TUBE CLAMPS WHEN SYSTEM IS NOT IN USE…

If you are printing infrequently and let your printer sit idle for periods of 10 days or more without use (or you are
going on holiday)

YOU SHOULD CLAMP OFF

each ink with the individual white tube clamps.

On your return to printing, release them before turning the printer back on.
This action prevents any ink moving forward or backwards in the tubes whilst not in use and eliminates the need for
any wasteful head cleaning or the introduction of air into the print head.

KEEP INK BOTTLES LEVELS ABOVE THE TRAY LEVEL…

PermaJet inks have a usable life of 2 years in the bottles before pigment separation begins.

Small air bubbles visible in the tubes are absolutely normal and generally pose no problem.
However, if you see that any of the inks in the tubes have retracted all the way back to the bottles or show
elongated gaps of 10cm, you may wish to re-prime the line using your syringe.

Air gaps in R3000 tubing is not uncommon and not something to be overly concerned about.

KEEP THE WHOLE UNIT, PARTICULARLY THE INKS, OUT OF DIRECT SOURCES OF HEAT

FOLLOW EPSON’S ROUTINE MAINTENANCE ADVICE…

Assuming that you have followed all routine maintenance guidance provided by the printer manufacturer (this
includes print head alignment, lubrication & cleaning of moving parts and waste pads, and nozzle cleaning
procedures), there may be times when you need to additionally carry out Eco-Flo maintenance.

A charge is applicable for occasions where we have to send you maintenance items which you have mislaid.

IMPORTANT

IF YOU EXPERIENCE ABSOLUTELY ANY ISSUE WITH YOUR PRINTER TO WHICH THE ECO-FLO SYSTEM IS

FITTED, PLEASE CONTACT PERMAJET IN THE VERY FIRST INSTANCE TO ASCERTAIN WHAT THE PROBLEM

MIGHT BE AND THE BEST COURSE OF ACTION TO TAKE. CONTACTING THE PRINTER MANUFACTURER MAY

TAKE A LONG TIME AND NOT BE PARTICULARLY HELPFUL WHEN THEY KNOW YOU ARE NOT USING THEIR

ORIGINAL PRODUCTS!

DO NOT

lift the inks above the Printer. This could cause the ink to flood inside - keep the bottles at the same

level as the printer at all times.
