setting mode.
Using the Printer’s Control Panel
The printer’s control panel contains lights for displaying the
printer status and buttons for controlling certain functions, as
described in this section.
Since most printer settings can be controlled from your
software, you do not often need to use the control panel. Use
your software to select printing functions whenever possible.
(Software settings usually override control panel settings.)

On when the printer is on. Flashes during ink
cartridge installation or replacement and print head
cleaning and certain error conditions.
