Insert a new media edge plate into the left edge
of the platen.

Important:

You cannot insert the media edge plates from
the right.

Align the platen rail with the

holes for the

media edge plates and insert as shown below.

Check that two hooked sections at the rear of
the media edge plate are securely applied as
shown below and that they are attached with no
gap between the platen and media edge plate.

Important:

If hooked sections are not positioned
correctly, return to Step 3 to attach them
again. Otherwise, the head may be damaged.

While holding the tabs of each media edge
plate on both sides, move both the plates to the
left and right edges of the platen respectively.

Releasing the tab fixes the media edge plate.

Close the left maintenance cover and printer
cover.

Disposal of used
consumables

The following used parts with adhered ink are
classified as industrial waste.
