Prolonged Storage
If the printer is not used for a long time (with the power
off), make sure you change the ink cartridge to a
Cleaning cartridge from the Maintenance menu before
storing. If the printer is left in this condition, it may be
impossible to clear clogging in the print head. As shown
below, the period for which the prolonged storage
operation is necessary varies depending on the mode
being used.

Before you start the prolonged storage operation,
prepare Cleaning cartridges and waste ink bottles (x2).
You may need new cartridges depending on the
remaining cleaning liquid.

When the replacement is complete, a message on
the control panel prompts you to replace the
waste ink bottle. Dispose of the waste ink, and
turn off the printer.

The next time you turn on the printer, follow the
instructions on the control panel to install the ink
cartridges.

When turning on the printer the next time and using
White ink mode, the density of the White ink may be too
weak. If the density is too weak, try running head
cleaning for the nozzle row for White ink using the
Execute (Heavy)
level. If this still does not improve the
results, contact the Epson Support.
