Unpacking and Assembling the
Printer
This chapter provides you with instructions on how to unpack
your printer and remove the protective materials. It also provides
you with information that you need to find a suitable place to
locate the printer.
After unpacking the printer, you have to install the imaging
cartridge before you can start printing.
Unpacking the Printer
Follow these steps to unpack your printer:
1. Remove the accessories and printer from the shipping carton.
Note:
The printer weighs about 20.5 kg (45.2 lb) and should be lifted
with care.
2. Set the printer on a flat, stable surface.
3. Remove the packing materials from the printer and its
accessories and store them for future use.
