Power Supply
Problem
Solution
Power is not being
supplied to the
printer.
The
POWER
light does
not go on.
When you turn the
power on, the printer
emits an
unusual
smell.
The power cable may be disconnected or
may not be completely plugged into the
electrical outlet. Turn off the printer and
check the power cable connections
between the printer and the electrical
outlet; then turn the printer back on.
The power switch may be off. Turn on
the power switch.
The problem may lie with the electrical
outlet itself. Make sure that the outlet is
not controlled by an outside source such
as a wall switch. If the printer still does
not operate, it is possible that the outlet
is faulty. Connect another electrical
device to the outlet to check whether the
outlet is operating properly.
If you have not used the printer for some
time, an unusual smell is normal and no
cause for concern. Check the date on the
ink cartridge to make sure the ink. is not
past the recommended shelf life.
