2.5.3 MSI/Paper Transportation I
MSI BASE ASSY

BOTTOM PLATE SENSOR
Detects the paper feed angle (max 15

) of the BOTTOM PLATE, and
control the LIFT MOTOR ASSY.

LIFT MOTOR ASSY
MSI ROLL ASSY operation (rotation/stop) is controlled by controlling the
rotation of the PICK UP CAM GEAR.
MSI FEED ASSY

EMPTY SENSOR
Detect some/nothing of the paper inside MSI HOUSING.

PITCH SENSOR
Detect the interval of the paper sent off by NUDGER ROLL, and control
PICK UP CLUTCH.

LEVEL SENSOR
Detect it, and control LIFT MOTOR ASSY feed position (height) of the
paper.

NUDGER ROLL
Take a drive by the movement of PICK UP CLUTCH, and send off a paper
due to the rotation of NUDGERROLL.

FEED ROLL, RETARD ROLL
The paper sent off by NUDGER ROLL is put in FEED ROLL and RETARD
ROLL, and carried to P/REGI ROLL ASSY.A paper after the second sheet
is prevented, and separated respectively by one sheet when it passes
between FEED ROLL and RETARD ROLL when the form of many sheet is
sent off with NUDGER ROLL.

PICK UP CLUTCH
Cut drive transmission to NUDGER ROLL temporarily, and make the
timing of the paper proper to keep the interval of the paper detected by
PITCH SENSOR properly.
REGI/MSI INTL SW
Detect that MSI/REGI HIGH ASSY is being inserted into the printer securely.
MSI GUIDE SWITCH
MSI GUIDE SWITCH prohibits running when a paper except for A3 wide was
set at the time of use of A3 wide, at the time of the OPTION DUPLEX use
mode and at the time of the OPTION SORTER use mode after detecting the
condition of MSI REGI GUIDE.
