towipetheoutercasesurfaces.
3. Donotallowwatertoslipintotheinternalpartsasthiscoulddamageyourunit
andresultinelectricalshockandinjurytoyou.
4. Allowtheunittothoroughlydrybeforeuse.
UV Lamp
ThelifetimeoftheUVlampisupto18monthsofcontinuous,effectiveoperation.Afterthistime,
thebulbmayremainilluminated,butitseffectivenessisgreatlyreduced.Formaximumgermicidal
protection,pleasereplacetheUVbulbannually.

Caution:
• Donottouchtheglasspartofthelamp.Oilfromfingertipswilldecreasetheeffectiveness

installedatalltimes.TheUVlightfromtheUVlampwillresultinseveredamagetoeyes
andcouldcauseblindness.
UV Lamp Notice Warning:
UVLightisharmfultobareskinandeyesandcancausetemporaryorpermanentlossofvision.
NeverlookdirectlyattheUVlampwhileitisilluminated-doingsocouldcauselossofvision!
Before replacing the UV lamp, make sure the Therapure
®
440 air purifier is turned
off and unplugged. Let the lamp cool down for 5 minutes before replacing it.
Replacing the UV Lamp:
1. Releasetheinletgrillbypressingonthelockinglatch.
2. RemovethetwoboltsusedtofixtheUVlampcoverandremovethecoveroutfromtheunit.
3. UnscrewtheoldUVlampfromthelampbaseoftheunit.
4. InstallthenewUVlampintothelampbaseoftheunit.
5. InstalltheUVlampcoverwiththetwoboltsontheunit.
6. Installtheinletgrillontheunit.
