Front Panel System Status LED Indicators
The front panel contains five LEDs, which are viewable with or without the front bezel to display
the system’s operating state. The LEDs provide a status for the following system states:
• Power/Sleep
• System State
• Disk Activity
• NIC1 Activity
• NIC2 Activity

Power/Sleep
Green ON Legacy Power On / ACPI S0 state
Blink Sleep / ACPI S1 state
Off OFF Power Off / ACPI S4 or S5 state
System Status on
standby power
Green ON Running. BIOS Initialization complete, boot
started / normal operation
Blink Degraded condition
Amber ON Critical or Non-Recoverable condition
Blink Non-Critical condition
Off OFF POST / System Stop
Fixed Disk Activity
Green Random blink Hard disk activity. This is an ‘OR’ of the activity
for the onboard SCSI and IDE controllers.
Amber ON Hard disk fault. Cleared when powered off
Off OFF No hard disk activity nor fault
NIC1 / NIC2 Activity
