Perform the following steps to determine how your IP address assignment is determined
and configure the TCP/IP settings on Macintosh:
1.
Pull down the Apple Menu. Click Control Panels and select TCP/IP.
2.
In the Connect Via: field, select Ethernet or Built-In Ethernet (based on your MAC
Address).
3.
If Using DHCP Server is already selected in the Configure field, your computer is
already configured for DHCP. Close the TCP/IP dialog box, and go to the
Disabling
HTTP Proxy
section of this document.
4.
If you are using a static IP Address, select Manually in the Configure field.
a.
Enter 192.168.123.x (where x is any number between 1 and 253). This number
must be different for each computer on the network.
b.
Enter 255.255.255.0 in the Subnet Mask field.
c.
Enter 192.168.123.254 on the Router Address field. This is the RoamAbout R1
default IP Address.
d.
Enter the two domain name server addresses (provided by your ISP) in the Name
Server field.
e.
Optional: Enter starting and ending domain names as instructed by your service
provider.
f.
Close the dialog box, and then click on Save.
