DaVinci Pro Console Configuration
Control Console Introduction
The Control Console and the included Console Cover are required to use DaVinci Pro (both of
which are shown on page 7). Familiarizing yourself with the Console will be helpful because
how you configure the console will affect your user experience. Read on to learn more.
DaVinci Pro Dynamic Controls
The Control Console for DaVinci Pro has an intelligent design that allows you to customize
features on demand and switch between two control types which we have defined as “Basic”
& “Advanced”. These two control methods are changed by taking the control console cover
and either placing it onto the console or removing it. DaVinci Pro will detect the change and
you will notice accessibility of certain buttons and features for your DaVinci Pro will also
change when the Cover is ON OR the Cover is OFF. This enables you to quickly and easily
switch between a Basic Control Scheme for ease of use and the Advanced Control Scheme
which has a diverse range of features. You should also notice that the functions of certain keys
will change depending on which scheme you are using. For beginning users we recommend
initially starting with the Simplified Control Scheme and then as you become more comfortable
graduate to using the Advanced Control & Advanced Features.
Removing the Control Cover:
While you are in Basic Mode you can
remove the Control Cover at any time,
this enables the advanced features and
controls.
Placing the Control Cover:
If you are using Advanced Controls and
want to return to Basic, place the Cover
ON and it will return you to the Live
Preview with the Basic control scheme.
