NAMUR limit detection with FTE20 paddle switch with line monitoring in the hazardous area

Line monitoring for line breaks and short-circuiting can be implemented with the

resistance circuit in the resistive coupling element, which is looped into the connection

compartment of the FTE20 on the sensor side. This monitoring function is described in

greater detail in the NE21 Recommendations of the User Association of Automation

Technology in Process Industries (NAMUR).
