6.2 Instructions for fault location and remedies
During manufacture all units pass through various stages of quality control.
The last inspection is wet calibration, which is carried out on a calibration rig
designed according to the latest state of the art.
As an initial help in the location of faults, here is an overview of possible causes of
faults:
•
Is the supply voltage present
at terminals 1, 2?
•
Is the LED in the electronics
compartment lit up
(see page 48)
Check that connections
conform to wiring diagrams.
Is the fuse in the terminal
compartment in order?
Replace fuse.
Is the status output set to
"Signalling system and
process errors" ?
Turn switch No. 2 “OFF”
(see page 37).
•
Does the status output have
a high impedance? (Open
collector
→
not conducting)
•
ERROR segment = visible?
•
Is the LED in the electronics
compartment flashing
(see page 48)?
No
system or process error is
present:
•
Check the connections to
the outputs.
•
Check the parameter
settings, i.e. switch
positions (see page 37).
There is a system error:

There is a process error:
•
“Overflow” segment visible:
Measuring range exceeded
>12,5 m/s. Reduce the flow.
•
“ERROR” segment visible:
Measuring pipe not
completely filled. Check the
process conditions of the
installation.
Does the status output have a
low impedance when a
voltage of 3...30 V DC is
applied to the auxiliary input ?
Auxiliary input has previously
been set for measured
value suppression
(see page 42, 43).
