Configuring the measuring device
The
Setup
menu and its guided wizards enable fast commissioning of the measuring device.
The wizards systematically guide the user through all the parameters required for
configuration, such as parameters for measurement or outputs.
The availability of the wizards marked with * depends on the device version ordered

Defining the tag name
To enable fast identification of the measuring point within the system, you can enter a unique
designation using the
Device tag
parameter and thus change the factory setting.

Protecting settings from unauthorized access
The following options exist for protecting the configuration of the measuring device from
unintentional modification after commissioning:
• Write protection via access code for the local display and Web browser (→ 56)
• Write protection via write protection switch (→ 57)
• Write protection via keypad lock (→ 49)

Write protection via access code
The effects of the customer-specific access code are as follows:
• Via local operation, the parameters for the measuring device configuration are write-
protected and their values can no longer be changed.
• Device access via the Web browser is protected, as are the parameters for the measuring
device configuration.
