General notes
The function matrix comprises a multiplicity of additional functions which, for the sake
of clarity, are arranged on a number of menu levels (blocks, groups, and function
groups).
Comply with the following instructions when configuring functions:
You select functions as described on Page 43.
You can switch off certain functions (OFF). If you do so, related functions in other
function groups will no longer be displayed.
Certain functions prompt you to confirm your data entries. Press
P
to select
“SURE [ YES ]” and press
F
again to confirm. This saves your setting or starts a
function, as applicable.
Return to the HOME position is automatic if no key is pressed for 5 minutes.
!
Note:
The transmitter continues to measure while data entry is in progress, i.e. the current
measured values are output via the signal outputs in the normal way.
If the power supply fails, all preset and parameterized values remain safely stored in
the EEPROM.
"
Caution:
All functions are described in detail, including the function matrix itself, in the
“Description of Device Functions”
manual,
which is a separate part of these
Operating Instructions.
5.2.2
Enabling the programming mode
The function matrix can be disabled. Disabling the function matrix rules out the possibi-
lity of inadvertent changes to device functions, numerical values or factory settings.
A numerical code (factory setting = 23) has to be entered before settings can be chan-
ged.
If you use a code number of your choice, you exclude the possibility of unauthorized
persons accessing data (
see the “Description of Device Functions” manual).
Comply with the following instructions when entering codes:
If programming is disabled and the
P
keys are pressed in any function, a prompt for
the code automatically appears on the display.
If “0” is entered as the customer's code, programming is always enabled.
The E+H service organisation can be of assistance if you mislay your personal code.
"
Caution:
Changing certain parameters such as all sensor characteristics, for example, influences
numerous functions of the entire measuring system, particularly measuring accuracy.
There is no need to change these parameters under normal circumstances and conse-
quently, they are protected by a special code known only to the E+H service organisa-
tion. Please contact Hauser if you have any questions.
