
Single probe
Fig. 6 shows the connection of the probe to the Nivotester.
•
The probe is grounded to terminal 6 of the electronic insert.
Two probes
Fig. 7 shows the connection of two probes. The first probe is
grounded to terminal 6 of the electronic insert. The second probe
is connected to the first by a low capacitance HF coaxial cable.
•
Connect the central core of the coaxial cable to the centre
connecting point of the probes.
•
Connect the shielding to ground connection in the probe head.
•
The probe head containing the electronic insert should be fitted
with a twin cable conduit so that it can be tightly sealed.
•
Terminals 1 and 2 of the electronic insert must be short-circuited.
Replacement of the Nivotester
The Nivotester can be replaced without the need to rewire.
Step Procedure

Release the terminal blocks by inserting a screwdriver
blade into the release point, see Fig.3, and prising them
apart.

Release the snap-on fastening by inserting a screwdriver
blade in the release point and prising downwards.

Remove the old unit, snap the new unit onto the mounting
rail.
4
Press home the terminal blocks, 6-pole below, 7-pole
above the front panel.

Calibrate the unit as described in Chapter 3.
