8 Maintenance and Repair
8.1 Repair
If the Cerabar S must be sent to Hauser for repair, then a note should be
enclosed containing the following information.
•
An exact description of the application
•
The chemical and physical characteristics of the product.
•
A brief description of the error.
Before sending in the Cerabar S to Hauser for repair, please take the following
protective measures:
•
Remove all traces of the product.
This is particularly important if the product is dangerous to health, e.g. corrosive,
poisonous, carcinogenic, radioactive, etc.
•
We do request that no instrument should be returned to us without all dangerous
material being completely removed first as it can, e.g. penetrate into fissures or
diffuse through plastic.
Caution!
Devices with certificates of conformity or design approval must be sent in for repair as
complete units only.
