11.1 General information
11.1.1 Repair concept
Under the Hauser repair concept, devices have a modular design and repairs are
carried out by Hauser Service or by properly trained customers.
Spare parts are grouped into logical kits with the associated replacement instructions.

11.1.2 Repair of Ex-certified devices

Only specialist personnel or Hauser-Service can carry out repairs to Ex certi-
fied devices.
‣
Relevant standards and national regulations as well as safety instructions (XA) and cer-
tificates must be observed.
‣
Only original Hauser spare parts may be used.
‣
When ordering spare parts, please check the device designation on the nameplate.
Parts may only be replaced by identical parts.
‣
Carry out repairs according to the instructions. Following the repair, the individual test-
ing specified for the device must be carried out.
‣
A certified device may be converted to another certified device version by Endress
+Hauser Service only.
‣
All repairs and modifications must be documented.
11.2 Spare parts
• Some replaceable measuring device components are identified by means of a spare part
nameplate. This contains information about the spare part.
• All the spare parts available for the measuring device are listed in the
W@M Device

) along with the order code and can be ordered.
If available, users can also download the associated Installation Instructions.
Measuring device serial number:
• Located on the device and spare part nameplate.
• Can be read out via the "Serial number" parameter in the "Instrument info" submenu.
