Assembly and Installation Instructions
:
1)
Please proceed carefully through the following instructions to assure this rack is assembly properly for safe installation and
use, and without damage to the finish. Haste in assembly could result in needless scratching or marring of the stainless steel
finish.
2)
On a flat surface, place the two rack body halves opposite each other and move them close together so that the connecting
screw holes at each end line up. Notice that each body half has two connecting screw holes that are different – one is
threaded and one is not. The two body halves should be placed so the unthreaded screw hole of one body half is opposite the
threaded screw hold of the other body half.
3)
Slide the rack center bar between the two body halves and line up the matching connecting screw holes at each end of the
center bar and the two body halves.
4)
Using the enclosed Allen wrench, carefully connect the three body pieces together at each end using the two3/8” x ¾” button
head screws. NOTE: The button head screw at one end of the rack body inserts from the opposite side of the rack than from
the screw at the other end of the rack body. Insert button head screws going through the unthreaded side through to the
threaded side.
5)
Using the Allen wrench and one 3/8” x ½” button head screw per arm pair, loosely attach two each of the four arms together
where they naturally join, to form two arm pairs.
6)
Using the Allen wrench and the remaining four 3/8” x ½” button head screws, position the rack arm pairs over the rack body
and loosely attach each arm to the rack body.
7)
Gradually tighten the four button head screws connecting the arms to the rack so that all arms are finished at a right angle to
the rack body. Once the arms are properly attached to the rack body and are tight, the button head screws connecting each of
the two arm pairs need to be tightened so each arm in each pair is perfectly aligned.
8)
We recommend that you anchor your rack into the solid wood of ceiling joists or beams. Carefully measure the area where
the rack is to be hung and install the ceiling screw hooks directly into the wood joists. If it is not convenient to hang your
rack directly into wood joists you may use the new-technology DRYWALL anchors enclosed with your rack. The steel
anchors are very strong and when installed in drywall will hold 200 lbs. each. Two anchors hold about 400 lbs. Follow the
instructions in the Toggler kit.
9)
The two enclosed ceiling screw hooks may be used to attach the rack to your ceiling. These screw hooks must be firmly
anchored into wood ceiling joists. The installation holes at the top of the rack arm pairs are 16” apart to facilitate mounting
to a ceiling with standard 16” ceiling joist spacing.
10)
Position the enclosed pot hooks on each side of the rack and on the center bar, then distribute your cookware evenly on the
rack to achieve a weight balance. Overloading cookware weight on one side of the rack will result in the rack not hanging in
the desired manner.
11)
Your rack is manufactured from the finest stainless steel materials and has a brushed finish applied to enhance beauty and
minimize maintenance. Should your rack need cleaning for fingerprints or other stains we recommend use of a good quality
glass cleaner like “Windex”. Tougher stains can be removed by light brushing in the direction of the brushed finish lines,
with a none-metallic abrasive like “Scotchbrite.”
