Congratulations!
On your purchase of the EMPHASER 2-way system dedicated for Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
If you plan on installing this speaker system by yourself, please read the following instructions
carefully before you attempt the installation.
For any further information about this product, please contact your authorized EMPHASER
dealer.
SET CONTENT
Carefully remove the loudspeakers, crossovers and the accessories from the gift box and
check whether all parts are in good undamaged condition, and match with the set contents
listed below:
■ 2 Coaxial speaker
■ 2 highpass crossover
■ 1 manual
ASSEMBLY
This set is compatible with a variety of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. For step by step instructions
on how to disassemble the original loudspeakers of your specific vehicle correctly, please
contact your Mercedes-Benz service workshop. The following instructions for the C205 model
are to serve as an example for all models.
Loosen the two Torx 30 screws at the point marked with a circle. Using a wide plastic wedge,
carefully pry the door trim from the door panel. Start at the point marked with an arrow and
work piece by piece forward and backward. There is a locking hook at the position marked
with a rectangle. Slide the door upwards to fully release the panel.
To obtain more freedom of movement, unhook the Bowden cable from the door lever. To do
this, pull the cover out of the guide rail and release the hook from the plastic clamp.
Finally, disconnect the necessary cables to completely remove the door trim. Use either a
small screwdriver or a paper clip to unlock the plugs.
