1. Trigger Input and Trigger Output
The A-400Z is switched On (from Standby) when a trigger signal is presented at the Trigger Input;
the A-400Z returns to Standby when the trigger signal is removed. When the A-400Z is On, a 12
VDC signal is sent from the Trigger Output to control other devices.
2. Master Volume Control
The Master Volume control allows you to reduce the gain on the A-400Z to match the gain of your
other equipment if necessary. The Master Volume control does NOT control the level of the signal
available at the Low Level Unbalanced Output.
3. Low Level Unbalanced (RCA) Inputs
Connect the stereo audio signal from your source to the stereo unbalanced RCA line level inputs
on the A-400Z.
4. Speaker Terminals (one stereo pair per zone)
The A-400Z has a separate pair of heavy duty five way binding posts for each zone. Each set of
speaker outputs is independently relay controlled by a front panel pushbutton.
5. Line Voltage Indicators
The BasX A-400Z automatically detects the correct line voltage for your area; the Line Voltage
Indicators show which line voltage has been detected. The A-400Z will operate from either
115 VAC or 230 VAC at 50 Hz or 60 Hz.
