depending on the conditions. In extreme cases, place the alarm clock close to a window toward the tran-
smitter. When searching for DCF signal, the indicator blinks and no changes to settings can be made.
To set functions using the MODE button, switch off the DCF search function using the WAVE button.
Reception of the DCF 77 radio signal is affected by the following factors:
- thick walls and insulation, basements and cellars
- inadequate local geographical conditions (these are difficult to assess in advance)
- atmospheric disturbances, thunderstorms
- appliances with no disturbance elimination
- television sets and computers placed near the DCF receiver
indoor temperature
To switch the temperature unit scale (°C/°F) use the Down button
Setting an alarm
1. Press and hold the ALARM button.
2. Set the desired alarm time using the UP/DOWN buttons. Movement in the menu is controlled by
short-pressing the ALARM button.
3. After setting the alarm time, press the ALARM button. A bell icon will show, indicating that the alarm
is active.
4. Pressing the ALARM button again will deactivate the alarm and the bell icon will disappear.
5. The alarm ringing time is 2 minutes and changes as follows.
0–10 seconds - one beep per second
11–20 seconds – two beeps per second
21–30 seconds – three beeps per second
>30 seconds – constant beeping
Snooze and display backlight (SNOOZE/LIGHT)
• Pressing the SNOOZE/LIGHT button while the alarm is ringing will postpone the alarm by 5 minutes,
the alarm icon will start blinking and the alarm clock will trigger again in 5 minutes.
• Press any key, except SNOOZE/LIGHT, to turn off the SNOOZE function. The alarm will sound the next
day.
• Press SNOOZE/LIGHT to activate the display backlight. Backlight time is 5 seconds.
Troubleshooting
• If the clock does not show the correct time or if there is no DCF reception icon, press the WAVE button
to search for DCF signal.
• Incorrect time or loss of synchronization can occur due to external electromagnetic interference.
Care and maintenance

these may cause malfunction, shorter battery life, damage to batteries and deformation of plastic
parts.
• Do not place any open flame sources on the product, e.g. a lit candle, etc.
• Do not place the product in places with inadequate air flow.
• Do not insert any objects in the product vents.
• To clean the product, use a slightly moistened soft cloth. Do not use solvents or cleaning agents - they
could scratch the plastic parts and cause corrosion of the electric circuits.
• The product may not be exposed to dripping or splashing water. Do not immerse it in water or other
liquids.
